The Allview V2 Viper S smartphone received an update to Android 7.0, Nougat. The update is made over the air (OTA), and the procedure can be downloaded from the Allview website: allview.com.

The new operating system brings users numerous improvements: increased security through the most recent patches provided by Google, a lower background app data consumption, a new interface for the settings app and status/notification bar, access to System UI Tuner for UI settings (status and browsing bar configuration, “Do not disturb” function, gestures for Split screen).

Moreover, V2 Viper S now integrates the Emergency Rescue function, which allows users to send a message with the coordinates to more preset contacts, in case of emergency.

The new update also improves the multitasking experience due to the Split Screen function, as well as Google Nearby, which allows the exchange of messages and content with the nearby devices, even when they are not using the same local network or same operating system.

The Android 7.0, Nougat version integrates the Google Rich Communication Services (Google dialer, Google Messenger and carrier services), however, due to the fact that this service is not yet active in Europe, its first two components are currently working under the classic configuration.

V2 Viper S is the result of the collaboration with Google and MediaTek and is the first smartphone in the world to integrate the FastPass concept. The new software version stays as clear and stable, to offer users flexibility in choosing the apps, as well as considerable reaction speeds.
